Hosting and server logs
This site is served via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working site). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission's standard contractual clauses also apply.
No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services. Fonts and videos are loaded from this site itself, not from third parties. The try-it area runs entirely in your browser and sends no data.
Feedback form
If you use the form, I store your message and – if provided – your name, email address, favorite design and photo in a Cloudflare data store (Workers KV) in order to read and answer your feedback. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by email. The data is deleted automatically after 6 months at the latest, or immediately on request. To prevent abuse, a shortened, pseudonymised hash of your IP address and the date is stored for 10 minutes to limit repeated submissions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Links to Amazon
The “View on Amazon” and “Review the book” buttons lead to Amazon. Amazon's privacy notice applies only once you click. These are not affiliate links.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). An email to [email protected] is enough. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
